Lesson For Today 6/21 - 6/12/2012

Lesson For Today:
The search for happiness is a long arduous road that we all take to feel complete. In all senses of the term some of us do fear it, only because we fear it never lasts long enough. As the monks of the Eastern Religions have said, to find more fun and happiness in life we must find our inner child, only then shall we find pure and true happiness for our lives. On our paths we will encounter life's happiness and we want to keep it and we can if we do it correctly. Stop seeking it out and let it just happen because it will be more fulfilling in the end. And keep that memory in your heart to stay happy. It's the only way to live truly happy, and be thankful for those that have caused happiness, because we cannot take advantage what is offered. So take time today and find a little bit of happiness and plant the seed that gives growth.

"Seek not happiness too greedily, and be not fearful of happiness." - Lao-tzu

Lesson For Today:
Respect: a relation or reference to a particular thing or situation <remarks having respect to an earlier plan>; an act of giving particular attention : consideration; high or special regard : esteem; the quality or state of being esteemed; expressions of high or special regard or deference <paid our respects>. Respect, the one lesson in life that is constantly misused or misconstrued in life. Respecting yourself in the highest action one can do to receive any type of respect from others. Once you have achieved this one can set forth and make a path to the highest attainment of life. When you respect yourself you can respect others and gain acceptance and seniority over even the elder. Though, respect can be abused in many situations so one must be careful in all areas. Take the time today and find respect for yourself and then for others. In the end, it is worth every ounce of energy you put forth.

"Respect yourself and others will respect you." - Confucius

Lesson For Today:
Forgiveness, this lesson is the hardest of them all. Forgiving another that has done trespasses is the most difficult thing one can experience in their lives. Forgiveness comes from acceptance of another's actions towards you or someone you hold dear. But to truly forgive another, you must forgive your actions that led you to that point of being harmed. If the one that has hurt you and has apologized, then forgive them if their apology is sincere and meant it. Just as the quote says, forget injuries, never forget kindnesses.

Forget injuries, never forget kindnesses." - Confucius

Lesson For Today:
Life, an abstract thought that is merely conceptualized by our own perception. It is a vessel of learning, a tool of taking ideas and making them real. Life as we know it is now. Many have been dealt a blow for years and others have had a great life. Upon this perception we all see the design of our own negativity and positivity. Take a look at your life today and see what you really value.

“Life is better lived than conceptualized. — This writing can be less demanding should I allow myself to indulge in the usual manipulating game of role creation. Fortunately for me, my self-knowledge has transcended that and I’ve come to understand that life is best to be lived — not to be conceptualized. If you have to think, you still do not understand.” - Bruce Lee

Lesson For Today:
Growth, is what we all do constantly. From our goals to our path, we are in constant growth. Ever since our birth we are planted into the seed of learning to gain knowledge. Every day you learn something new, even if it has been such a minute thing. I ask you to look back at yesterday and the end of today and recount what you have learned.

“If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.” - Bruce Lee

Lesson For Today:
The choices in life may have action to reaction, but they also create opportunities. These are massive options in one can take to undergo change and define ourselves more as a person, as a gender, as a member of our own society. Many of us fear these opportunities because it takes many of us to bad realizations of past doings. We must work through these little quirks and define who we are at every point to create a better me, a better you, a better us. We should not fear to tell ourselves this is an opportunity to make a mark.

“To hell with circumstances; I create opportunities.” - Bruce Lee
Lesson For Today:
Actions, the choices we make create action. Every action has a consequence, doing or not doing causes a reaction, a consequence. Its the only thing that we have at every point in our lives. Action = Reaction.

“The biggest adversary in our life is ourselves. We are what we are, in a sense, because of the dominating thoughts we allow to gather in our head. All concepts of self-improvement, all actions and paths we take, relate solely to our abstract image of ourselves. Life is limited only by how we really see ourselves and feel about our being. A great deal of pure self-knowledge and inner understanding allows us to lay an all-important foundation for the structure of our life from which we can perceive and take the right avenues.” - Bruce Lee

Lesson For Today:
Choices, the most deadly thing for us all to have to go through. They lead us down different paths to different crossroads. How do we know we make the right choices? Only time will tell. Many choices give obvious answers and others are shrouded in mystery, so we ponder longingly trying to figure out which way to go. Listen to your soul, your instincts, they always tell you the best possible way to go. But all paths will lead to the same end point, the goal. Don't think about it, just do it.

“If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you’ll never get it done. Make at least one definite move daily toward your goal.” - Bruce Lee

 Lesson For Today:
As Linkin Park had said, "Time is a valuable thing, watch it fly by as the pendulum swings..." that is the whole truth for us all. Today, tomorrow, next week, next month, or next year even we could perish or a loved one can. Time is so short there is no way of saving time. Saving time is spending time wisely, with your loved ones is best. Instead of wasting time, start spending it the right way.

“If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made up of.” - Bruce Lee

Lesson For Today:
Many of our lives are wrought with troubling problems and we have yet to figure out the solution, there is always a way out. Never give up, even though you feel like you should. Many times we do not have the courage to stand up and fight back the troubling times, but we must persevere. All things are never lost, just hindered by our own mentalities. We want and want and want, but never get what we truly need. Take the time today to categorize what you want and what you truly need. Then work finding the needs and treat yourself to a want.

“Absorb what is useful, Discard what is not, Add what is uniquely your own.” - Bruce Lee
